In January 2009, HHS announced a October 1, 2013 deadline for transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10. In February 2012, it was announced that the implementation deadline would be extended until October 1, 2014. In April 2014, Congress and President Obama further delayed the ICD-10 implementation deadline until October 1, 2015. |
